Vitamins and Minerals You Need To Reduce Hair Loss
Author: steve (7:20 pm)
by: Rudy Silva
Some common myths have arisen concerning hair loss. Because of medical advancements many of these myths are being corrected. For starters, although androgenetic alopecia, pattern baldness, is genetic and can be hereditary, it is not passed down through only your mother’s side of the family. Either side of the family can pass down the genetic disposition toward baldness. Also, contrary to old family tales, wearing hats does not cause baldness either.
Most common hair loss comes under what has been commonly known as Male Pattern Baldness (MPB). Although referred to as MPB, females also suffer from MPB, so it is better to call MPB androgenetic alopecia.
Although hair loss is not life threatening, it is an indication of your internal health and it can cause you serious problems with an image and self-confidence. There has been no absolute cure found for hair loss, and many factors of hair loss are hereditary, however there are several preventative measures you can take to maintain healthy hair and scalp.
Diet, Nutrition and Hair Loss
Keeping your body healthy reflects on the health of your hair. If your lifestyle is not healthy, it will eventually reflect on your head. You will start to lose your hair and fulfill your genetic coding. To keep healthy, as a reminder, you need to eat in the proper fashion, exercise, and stay away from any kind of drugs - both medical and recreational.
To define what a healthy diet is, to preventing hair loss, can be individual and quite complex. But the main vitamins, minerals, and nutrients that you need to take or eat to maintain healthy hair are:
* vitamin A
* all B vitamins-particularly vitamins B-6 and B-12, folic acid, biotin
* vitamin C
* vitamin E
* copper, iron, zinc, iodine, silica
* essential fatty acids
* protein
* four - 6 glass of water.
The best way for you to maintain a healthy vitamin and mineral intake is a good diet. Vitamins and minerals are abundant in raw fruits and vegetables. Eat them in the morning or as in between meal snacks. A good mineral supplement would be an electrolyte liquid mineral product.
It is not necessary or advisable to go out and buy a bunch of over-the-counter vitamin supplements in order to achieve your suggested nutritional levels. Many over-the-counter vitamins are chemically processed and are not completely absorbed.
It is also easy to overdose yourself with over the counter vitamins, particularly when taking supplements of fat-soluble vitamins and minerals, causing toxicity and adverse reactions. The likelihood of doing this is far less with food; therefore it is always best to obtain the bulk of your vitamin and mineral requirements from whole organic raw foods.

Vitamins and Minerals for a Healthy Hair
Author: steve (7:10 pm)

A lot of people actually pay a good deal of money just to make themselves look more attractive and feel better about themselves, but what they don’t know is that they can actually achieve this easily by keeping fit and staying healthy. Having lustrous and shiny, full hair is not always due to extremely expensive salon treatments but of impeccable hygiene and a good diet.
Antioxidant vitamins play an important role in achieving healthy hair and scalp. Common antioxidant vitamins that can actually help in having gorgeous hair are Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. While lack of Vitamin C can actually lead to gradual or even excessive hair loss among men and women, it is best to load up on anything citrus so as to ensure a healthy looking mane. Vitamin A serves to help the scalp produce sebum which is essential to the hair’s volume and fullness while Vitamin E promotes the healthy circulation that the scalp needs.
The vitamins that make up the B complex are not only important to the many functions of the body and mind it can also be a good beauty tool for you too. In addition to promoting the good circulation that ensures a healthy scalp, these vitamins play a big role in preventing hair loss and also help the hair retain its natural color, including the prevention of premature graying.
There are many minerals that are equally important in order to achieve healthy hair. Among these are silica, iron, iodine, copper and chromium, all of which helps to prevent hair loss. Copper also helps maintain the hair’s natural color and is important to the weight and structure of the hair. Iodine also prevents dryness of the hair as does zinc which teams up with Vitamin A for this purpose. Silica also helps to strengthen the hair. Sulfur is one of the prime building blocks of the hair and is essential to its structure. Selenium is important to keeping the scalp elastic and flexible. Potassium helps in the circulation in the scalp, encouraging the healthy growth of hair. Calcium, magnesium and manganese are all essential minerals for hair growth.
However, engaging in a newfound health plan would not automatically alter your looks to superstar proportions, it actually takes some time before these positive effects take place. A great deal of patience is actually required for a person to be able maintain a healthy lifestyle which in the long run will benefit him or her two-fold. Aside from having an overall healthy well-being, it can also result to a gorgeous outward appearance. You can expect that it will take about three or four months before you will actually be able to see the results of your efforts. When using dietary supplements, it is important to follow the recommended dosage for each supplement that you take. In fact, some of the supplements that are specifically good for your hair can actually cause hair loss if they are taken in extremely high dosages. If you are unsure as to what the best supplement dosage levels are for your individual dietary needs and health goals, you should a licensed nutritionist or dermatologist or physician so as to be better guided when it comes to picking out a good health plan for you.
Naturally, paying close attention to the amounts of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients that you consume daily and trying to develop good nutritional habits is highly important for keeping your body and mind functioning well. However, it can’t hurt that your physical looks may also benefit from this healthy change in lifestyle.

How To Grow Long, Shiny, Healthy Hair
Author: steve (10:55 am)
by: Janice Johnson
Many men and women complain that their hair is not growing. They buy the most popular hair products, which promise more shine and growth. They buy supplements and read magazines looking for the next quick fix. But what many men and women fail to realize it that the way they treat their bodies plays an enormous role in the state of their hair.
Here are some helpful tips to help grow healthier hair:
Consume a diet high in vital nutrients mainly beta carotene, iodine and protein are necessary for shiny healthy hair.
Iodine is necessary for the production of the thyroid hormone thyroxin. This hormone promotes hair growth. The foods that contain iodine are seafoods like cod, mussels, seaweed and haddock.
Beta Carotene is actually converted by the body into vitamin A which makes the hair strong. You can find it in green and yellow fruits and vegetables like green peppers and cantaloupes.
Protein can be found in foods like meat, eggs and nuts to name a few.
Also, try to exercise weekly. This helps improve the circulation while getting your body in shape and making your body “work” better.
The hormones and healthy chemical processes taking place in your body during your workout sessions, assist in overall health.
Get out! Well, I’m not saying this rudely. But rather literally. Get out of the house more often and get some sun. If you’re at the office during the day, take a short walk outside on your lunch break. Studies have shown that healthy doses of vitamin D received from the sun actually plays a role in hair growth. But don’t forget to protect your hair and scalp at all times.
Always apply a sunscreen lotion to your skin and wear a hat if you’re outside for long periods of time. If you’re not wearing a hat a great tip is applying some sunscreen lotion to the exposed skin on your scalp. This will keep the area from getting burned.
Remember, take care of your hair and skin. You’ll be thankful in years to come!

How to Enhance Your Hair Growth
Author: steve (10:50 am)
by: Marquetta Breslin
Hair is essentially a dead protein and thus to maintain a healthy hairline you should take adequate amount of proteins in your diet. Amino acids are the main constituents of proteins. Five kinds of amino acids are needed for hair growth namely, methionine, arginine, cystine, cysteine and lysine. When your body does not get adequate supply of proteins for long, the hair may come under a resting phase.
Another important constituent of your daily diet is carbohydrate. It facilitates the growth of body tissues and provides a rich source of vitamin B crucial for healthy hair. You have to see that your body has an ample supply of non-refined carbohydrates, essential for healthy hair growth. Whole grains, brown rice, potatoes and vegetables are rich sources of carbohydrate.
The right nutritional balance is vital for normal healthy hair growth. While you pay attention to protein and carbohydrate intake, you should not overlook the necessity of dietary fats. The body requires it for energy production, to keep it healthy. Some of the ways to maintain good health and eventually healthy hair is to follow a diet regime like taking various foods, preferring lightly processed food on overcooked ones and eating junk food in negligible amount.
Apart from maintaining the nutritional balance, other factors may also have adverse affect on hair growth. Stress is yet another cause that retards the hair growth. Besides, some medications though necessary to combat physical ailments can also be the underlying cause of your depleting hairline. These factors may act as strong growth blockers.
Before you go for any vitamin or herbal program, it is good to consult a doctor. One of the most favorite hair-growing tips is to follow a zone diet that has low fat content. Thus, look for suitable methods to ensure fine hair growth.

Hair Nutrition- Diet for Healthy Hair
Author: steve (10:10 am)
by: Marquetta Breslin
If you do not yet feel enough motivated to have a balanced diet then temptation of healthy lustrous hair may convince you for it. Nutritional deficiencies can make the hair stringy, dull and dry.
If your hair loss results from nutritional deficiency, you can bring it under control through adequate nutritional supply. Your hair is sensitive to what you eat. A study based on the effect of crash diets has revealed that people undergoing such diet regime may experience temporary hair loss because of poor nutritional supply.
Zinc plays a vital role in maintaining good hair condition. Its deficiency often results in poor hair growth and considerable hair loss. Similarly, people who prefer to have low or no fat diets also run the risk of hair loss, as essential fatty acids are an important constituent of healthy hair. While biotin has often been marketed to help people suffering from pattern-baldness, any direct relationship between the two is yet to be established. If you feel the problem behind your hair loss is nutritional imbalance, you can consult a dietician for the right suggestion.
Tips for Healthy Hair
1. You may think that harping on a particular nutrient may work wonders on your hair, a wholesome diet is better recommended.
2. Intake of green leafy vegetables and hair friendly spices like turmeric and cumin help you get healthy and lustrous hair.
3. Various fruits in your diet suffice different nutritional needs and keep your hair in good condition.
4. Using fresh coconut paste over the hair and scalp helps to nourish it and makes your hair eye-catching. Going for natural remedies protects the hair from the effects of harsh chemicals as well.
Thus, a balanced nutritious diet and the right eating habits are the two factors that make your hair vibrant and healthy.
